How long does setup take?
Minutes. Four steps: where your team talks, your email, your company's website, and the first connection. Ara reads the website while you finish and writes a first report about your company. Nothing to install.
Do we have to use Slack?
No. Ara answers in Slack, in a KakaoTalk open chat or channel, and as its own bot on Telegram, Microsoft Teams, Messenger, Instagram, WhatsApp, SMS, Google Chat and Discord. Where there is a bot nothing is installed and no address is copied: add Ara where you talk and send one code. KakaoTalk and Naver Works connect through a small relay instead. The setup screen offers the ones your workspace can use, and if you would rather not touch your chat at all, the dashboard does everything on its own.
Can Ara work on our own PC?
Yes. By default Ara works in an isolated cloud sandbox. A workspace can set a PC aside for it instead: install the Ara app on that PC, enter one pairing code, and runs happen there, through the work accounts signed in to that machine. Windows, macOS and Linux, with a windowless version for a server. It keeps itself up to date, comes back after a restart, and you can switch to the cloud sandbox again whenever you want.
What can Ara see in Slack?
The channels it has been invited to, the threads it is mentioned in, and its own direct messages. It never reads a private channel it is not in, and never anyone's personal messages.
Will it do things without asking?
Only what you switched on. Every connected app is a list of tool switches on your own account, and a tool you leave off can't be used by anyone. Put an app under review and every change in it is previewed and waits for a person. Sending, deleting and paying are the switches most teams leave off or under review.
Is our company data safe?
Each workspace runs in its own isolated sandbox. Tokens are encrypted at rest and never written to the sandbox. Every run is logged line by line. Your data is never used to train a model, ours or anyone's.
Does it work in our language?
Yes. Ara answers in the language your team writes in, and a workspace can set a working language so that unattended runs, approval cards and emails follow it too. The dashboard is in English and Korean.
