Questions

Every question, answered on its own page.

What people ask before they give Ara work, and how it handles company data once they do.

Before you start

  • What is an AI employee? We already use ChatGPT.

A chat assistant answers. An AI employee takes on the work and finishes it, connected to your company's tools.

  • What can it actually do?

Research with sources, analysis with a chart, documents and PDFs, images for a post, drafts of emails and quotes, a standing job that runs on a schedule, and…

  • What does it connect to?

The messenger your team already talks in for the conversation, then whatever your team already uses for the work: HubSpot, Salesforce, Gmail, Google Calendar…

  • How long does setup take?

Minutes. Download the desktop app for Mac, Windows or Linux and open it: it asks for your email, your company, the AI Ara works with and where your team talks.

  • Do we have to use Slack?

No. Ara answers in Slack, in a KakaoTalk open chat or channel, and as its own bot on Telegram, Microsoft Teams, Messenger, Instagram, WhatsApp, SMS, Google…

  • Can Ara work on our own PC?

Yes. By default Ara works in an isolated cloud sandbox. A workspace can set a PC aside for it instead: sign in to the Ara app on that PC, share it with the…

  • What can Ara see in Slack?

The channels it has been invited to, the threads it is mentioned in, and its own direct messages.

  • Will it do things without asking?

Only what you switched on. Every connected app is a list of tool switches on your own account, and a tool you leave off can't be used by anyone.

  • Is our company data safe?

Code the model writes runs in the workspace's own sandbox, never on our servers.

  • Does it work in our language?

Yes. Ara answers in the language your team writes in, and a workspace can set a working language so that unattended runs, approval cards and emails follow it…

  • How does pricing work?

Free to start, with credits for your first runs and no card. When your team needs more, the plans are on the pricing page.

  • Can we leave, and take our data with us?

Yes. Every file it made is yours to download from the dashboard, and deleting your account removes your workspaces and their history.

Company data

  • Every tool is a switch you hold

A connected app lists every tool it offers, each with a switch, in your own account; they start switched on. Nothing a run does can turn one back on.

  • Review any app, when you want it

The control is the switch: each person connects their own account and decides, tool by tool, what Ara may do with it. Nothing outside that ever runs.

  • Works in its own sandbox

Code the model writes runs in a sandbox, never on our API servers, and each workspace has its own.

  • The model never sees your keys

The credentials we hold, such as Slack tokens, API keys, access to your own AI plan and saved website passwords, are encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM).

  • Treats the web as data, not orders

Web pages, connected apps such as email and ticketing, and searched documents reach the model marked as quoted data, with the rule to report what they say and…

  • We never train models on your data

Customer data is used to do your workspace's work, including what Ara remembers for its next task there, and we do not train AI models on it.

Your team's first AI employee. Starting today.
