An AI agent that gets you ready for your calendar
Connect Google Calendar and Ara reads your week as it is. Ask it to prep a meeting and it sets the event beside what your CRM and your records say. On weekday mornings it can tell you which outside meeting has nothing prepared. It can also find a time and book it, and that write is as real as one you make yourself.
How it connects: Through Composio, as a connection separate from Gmail. It reaches the calendars the connected account can see.
What Ara does with Google Calendar
Prepare for an outside meeting
You say: Prep me for the 3pm with [account].
Ara pins the event, its time and attendees. It writes the story so far with dates and sources, the deal state if a CRM is connected, three questions that move things along, and what you still owe them. If two events could be it, it asks which.
Tools it can use
- GOOGLECALENDAR_FIND_EVENT
- GOOGLECALENDAR_EVENTS_GET
Get every outside meeting prepped the evening before
You say: Every weekday at 5pm, read tomorrow's outside meetings and prep each one.
A workspace admin says it once from a direct chat and it becomes a schedule in their time zone, reporting back where it was made.
Tools it can use
- GOOGLECALENDAR_EVENTS_LIST
Weekday morning note
You say: Nothing to ask: this is set up when your own calendar is connected, for weekdays at 07:30.
Ara raises only three things: an outside meeting today or tomorrow with nothing prepared, a first meeting with someone new, and a collision. On most days it stays quiet. Connect a mailbox too and the same note covers both.
Tools it can use
- GOOGLECALENDAR_EVENTS_LIST
- GOOGLECALENDAR_LIST_CALENDARS
Find a time and book it
You say: Find 30 minutes with [names] next week, and book it once I pick one.
Ara checks free and busy times, offers you slots, and creates the event once you choose.
Tools it can use
- GOOGLECALENDAR_FIND_FREE_SLOTS
- GOOGLECALENDAR_FREE_BUSY_QUERY
- GOOGLECALENDAR_CREATE_EVENT
What a reply looks like
Request: Prep me for the 3pm with [account].
Reply: Prep: [account], [title], [date and time]. Attendees: theirs [name, role]; ours [name]. Story so far: [dated lines]. Deal: [stage], [amount], close [date] [CRM, date]; the thread says [date], and the record doesn't. Questions: [one], [two], [three]. We owe them: [what, by when].
Setup
- In the dashboard, open Your apps, search for Google Calendar and press Connect. Sign-in happens on the app's own page.
- Ara takes one read-only first look, over the next 7 days and the last 14. The weekday note needs a workspace admin; if that isn't you, an admin has to open the page once.
- To review bookings, switch off the write tools you don't want used alone. Read the note on rules below before you set one.
Runs without asking
- With no rule, reading events and free and busy times.
- With no rule, GOOGLECALENDAR_CREATE_EVENT books as soon as Ara calls it, and GOOGLECALENDAR_DELETE_EVENT and GOOGLECALENDAR_REMOVE_ATTENDEE act too if they stay on.
- The first look and the morning note are told to read only, which is an instruction and not a lock.
What waits for a person
- A rule goes by the tool's name, and many Calendar reads don't look like reads to it. Under "Asks a person first", GOOGLECALENDAR_EVENTS_LIST and GOOGLECALENDAR_FREE_BUSY_QUERY wait for a person, so the morning note would too. Under "Never runs" they are refused.
- For read-only use, press "Reads only" under Permissions, and don't set a rule.
- A brief is only a reply, so a prep run has nothing else to approve unless you ask it to do more.
Limits
- Ara does not join a call by itself. To get notes from a live meeting, connect a notetaker such as Fireflies, Read AI or Recall.ai, which is a separate service with its own plan.
- A brief is only as good as what's on record. It is told to write unknown when it doesn't know, and with no CRM connected it works from the thread and memory, and says so.
- The morning note's time zone is a guess from your contact details and language. Check it when the introduction arrives.
When Ara is not the right fit for Google Calendar
- You want a tool that keeps rearranging your calendar on its own to protect focus time. Ara works on request and on schedules.
- You need a public booking page for customers. Ara has none.
- Your calendar has so few outside meetings that a note would rarely fire. The value is in those meetings.
How control works on every connected app
- Every tool has a switch on the account that connected it. All are on until you switch them off, and "Reads only" leaves only the reads. A switched-off tool never runs.
- An admin can set one rule per app: "Runs without asking", "Asks a person first" or "Never runs". With no rule, which is the default, nothing waits, and that includes sending, changing and deleting.
- A waiting action shows what would change. Any member can decide it, and if nobody does, it expires and nothing runs. The decision can be made in the dashboard.
- A rule tells reads from changes by the tool's name. That is why this page names the exceptions on this app.
- Ara looks when asked or on a schedule. Starting a run the moment something changes in an app is not switched on for arator.rinda.ai today.
- Ara acts as the connected account, with one live account per app. To switch accounts, disconnect first. You work with Ara in Slack, a linked messenger or the dashboard, not inside the app.
- Only a workspace admin can create a schedule, and not from a group chat.
- What Ara reads passes through Composio and a model provider. If your data may not pass through a third party, Ara is not for you. We don't train models on your data, and what a provider keeps follows its own terms.
Tool names

Questions
- Can Ara book meetings on its own?
- Yes, if you ask it to and the tool is on. An event it creates is a real event, visible to whoever can see that calendar. Say "show me first" if you want to see it, or switch the tool off.
- Does it work without a CRM?
- Yes. Meeting prep says no CRM is connected and works from the thread and what it remembers. The brief is thinner without one.
What it costs
Free to start with 20 credits and no card. 1 credit per completed run plus external data lookups; failed runs cost nothing. Business is quoted. A scheduled run and a first look use credits like any other completed run, even on a quiet day when you hear nothing.
How we checked this
Read from Ara's own code and the live site on 2026-11-04. Example jobs show what the tools and instructions allow, and an AI model can still get things wrong. If something here is out of date, tell us
Other integrations
Hand Ara the job you keep putting off.
Bring your team's first AI employee into the chat you already use and give it one job. It comes back finished. Free to start, no card.
