An AI agent you reach on Telegram
Link your Telegram account and Ara answers you there: research, drafts, data work and standing reports, done on its own machine. In a direct chat it can use the apps you connected. In a group it answers only when tagged, and leaves your apps alone unless you allow them for that group.
How it connects: A native bot: one Ara bot, run by us, that you link your account to. It does not go through Composio and there is nothing to install.
What Ara does with Telegram
Hand over a job from your phone
You say: Compare the public pricing pages of these three suppliers and tell me which to call first.
Ara reads the pages on its own machine, works through the comparison and answers in the chat. If it made a file, you get a link to it.
Reach your apps from a direct chat
You say: What did [name] last email me about the renewal?
A linked direct chat runs as you, in your default workspace, so it can use the apps you connected on your own account. If an app is not connected, Ara sends the link to connect it.
Get a standing report in the chat
You say: Every Monday at 9, send me the summary of last week's open questions here.
If you are an admin of your workspace, a schedule you make in a direct chat reports back to that chat. It can't be made from a group. With no Slack onboarding channel in your workspace, the morning brief from a connected mailbox or calendar can land here too.
Work with a team in a group
You say: @Ara turn these points into a one-page brief: [points]
Ara answers in the group when tagged, working from what that message says and not from the whole chat. Connected apps and commands stay off for a group until a workspace admin switches them on for it.
What a reply looks like
Request: What is still open on the [project] launch?
Reply: Two things are open. [Item one]: waiting on [person] since [date]. [Item two]: no owner yet. I wrote the full list up here: [link]. Say "assign the second to [name]" and I will draft the message.
Setup
- Start an Ara account in the browser. It is free to start and needs no card.
- For a direct chat, go to Settings, then Messengers, and connect Telegram: that opens the bot with a one-time link and links the chat. Or message the bot first: it replies with a one-time link you confirm in the browser.
- For a group, a workspace admin gets a message with a code from the dashboard, adds the bot to the group and sends that message there. Ara replies to confirm, and the group appears in the dashboard with its switches.
Runs without asking
- Answering in a chat it is linked to, within the message limits below.
- Being tagged by anyone in a linked group. Limit that with "Answer only workspace members".
What waits for a person
- Turning on connected apps for a group asks for a confirmation first: everyone in that chat could then ask Ara to read and act in those apps.
- Raising a group's trust so commands can run is a separate switch, and is off by default.
Limits
- Ara takes at most 12 messages a minute in a chat, 4 a minute from one person and 300 a day.
- A long answer arrives in parts of at most 3,500 characters.
- In a group it sees the message that tags it, so paste what it needs into that message.
When Ara is not the right fit for Telegram
- You want your own Telegram bot under your own name, with logic you control. A bot framework or a flow builder fits that better.
- You want a bot that greets and serves strangers in a public group. Anyone in a group can tag it, so a group with people you don't know should leave connected apps and commands off.
- You need to send Ara images or voice notes from Telegram all day. That does not work today.
How this chat works with Ara
- Ara reads the words of a message. Photos, files and voice notes sent here are not read, so attach those in the dashboard or in Slack. Files it makes come back as links.
- A linked direct chat runs as you and can use the apps you connected. With no rule on an app, reads and changes there run without stopping.
- If an app is set to "Asks a person first", Ara says in the chat that it needs a sign-off and carries on after approval. The decision is made in the dashboard: there is no approve button in the chat.
- It is one shared bot. You can't give it your own name, picture or code.
- Only a workspace admin can create a schedule, and not from a group chat.
Questions
- Do I need to install anything to use Ara on Telegram?
- No. You message the bot and link your account once in the browser.
- Can Ara use my Gmail or CRM from Telegram?
- In a linked direct chat, yes, if you connected them. In a group, only if that group was allowed to use connected apps, and then everyone in it can ask.
- Can I limit a group to my own team?
- Yes. Switch on "Answer only workspace members" for the group. Ara then answers only people who linked their Telegram and belong to the workspace, and tells anyone else how to join at most once an hour.
What it costs
Free to start with 20 credits and no card. 1 credit per completed run plus external data lookups; failed runs cost nothing. Business is quoted. A scheduled run and a first look use credits like any other completed run, even on a quiet day when you hear nothing.
How we checked this
Read from Ara's own code and the live site on 2026-11-04. Example jobs show what the tools and instructions allow, and an AI model can still get things wrong. If something here is out of date, tell us
Other integrations
Hand Ara the job you keep putting off.
Bring your team's first AI employee into the chat you already use and give it one job. It comes back finished. Free to start, no card.
